Interactive Media Award
Announcement: Interactive Media Award
04/23/09The Interactive Media Awards (IMA) announced Landmarks as winner of the 2009 “Best in Class” award for arts and culture. The website received high praise for its exceptional website design and development.
Created by Funny Garbage in New York City and programmed by the university’s College of Fine Arts web team, the Landmarks website was launched in September 2008.
“Websites should reflect the culture of an organization and its mission,” said Kristin Ellington, Funny Garbage COO. “The Landmarks website accomplishes this and takes it a step further with its sophisticated look and excellent user experience. We’re excited the site earned this distinctive award.”
The IMA awards recognize outstanding websites produced by individuals and organizations. Landmarks earned high marks in each of the judging categories: design, content, feature functionality, usability, and compliance standards.
The IMA was created by the Interactive Media Council, a nonprofit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals. The competition was initiated to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet.
