Learning with Landmarks: Ann Hamilton Shares Insights with Students

News broke last week about two new additions to the Landmarks collection. Marc Quinn’s Spiral of the Galaxy will anchor the gateway to the Dell Medical School in September and Ann Hamilton’s O N E E V E R Y O N E will be installed in multiple buildings at the Dell Medical School in January. The projects will have scholarly essays written by UT doctoral candidate Robin Williams (Quinn) and art historian and critic Nancy Princenthal (Hamilton).

With summer temperatures peaking this week it seems like January is a lifetime away! In the meantime, listen to a conversation between Ann Hamilton and Jack Risley, chair of the Department of Art and Art History at UT. Former classmates at Yale University School of Art, Hamilton and Risley sat down in February to talk with students about navigating successful careers in the arts. Their comments are insightful and thoughtful; it’s moving to see old friends talk about a shared love of teaching and art making.
