Ever wanted to work with a public art collection? Now's your chance! Landmarks is currently hiring paid interns to assist in our education and communications departments. These part-time positions provide administrative support to Landmarks while giving students real-world experience that prepares them for a career in the arts. For Spring 2026, the College of Fine Arts is looking for a reliable, motivated, and self-directed student employee to provide support to Landmarks, the public art program for The University of Texas at Austin. Landmarks makes great art free and accessible to all with nearly 50 works of modern and contemporary art spread across UT’s campus.

Landmarks Education Intern

The education intern will support Landmarks’ Education Coordinator with a range of projects, including managing the James Turell Skyspace, assisting with the launch of installations by internationally known artists, and developing programming for broad audiences.

Landmarks Communications Intern

The Communications Intern will assist Landmarks Digital Content Coordinator and Deputy Director with a variety of public relations and marketing initiatives, including: assembling and documenting press coverage, creating and scheduling social media, drafting blog posts, as assigned, and promoting Landmarks’ events both online and at in-person events.

James Turrell Skyspace Attendant

The Skyspace attendant will serve as a visitor attendant for one of these works, The Color Inside by James Turrell, at the William C. Powers, Jr. Student Activity Center.
