Join artist David Ellis and Andrée Bober, founding director and curator of Landmarks, for a conversation that is free and open to the public. The free event will feature a special viewing of Animal, a motion painting commissioned by Landmarks in 2010, that has engaged local audiences for the past fifteen years. Also on exhibit during the Austin Studio Tour is Ellis' most recent body of drawings at Luna Music.
David Ellis is a New York-based artist who creates paintings, prints, videos, and installations that draw upon popular references and distill the ideas of motion, sound, and rhythm into his surfaces. His work has been exhibited at the Mattress factory, P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center, ICA Philadelphia, and the Museum of Modern Art.
