Tours

Tours are a fun and informative way to learn about works of art in the collection while enjoying the beauty of the main campus. 

CLASS TOURS

Students across all disciplines can benefit from the examination of works in the Landmarks collection and discussion of historical and contemporary trends in art. On tours tailored to fit curricular needs, students are encouraged to observe closely while voicing their own ideas and considering the viewpoints of others, opening the possibility of collaborative and innovative problem-solving. Tours are led by either a member of the Landmarks staff or a trained docent and last one to two hours. Two weeks advance notice is suggested. To schedule, please contact landmarks@austin.utexas.edu.

public TOURS

Landmarks offers free, public drop-in tours on the first Sunday of each month. Visit the events page for times and meeting locations, or email landmarks@austin.utexas.edu for more information.

Private TOURS

Private tours can be tailored to meet individual needs and accommodate groups up to 20. Academic tours are free of charge; private tours require a minimum donation of $50. Two weeks advance notice is required. To schedule, please contact landmarks@austin.utexas.edu.

SELF-GUIDED walking TOURS

Take a self-guided tour using a public art campus map or a mobile device. From the Landmarks mobile website, visitors can access an interactive map, listen to audio guides and read artist information from individual collection pages, all while viewing the collection.

Self-guided bike tours

Rent a bike through Orange Bike Project (OBP) and explore the entire 433 acres of the UT campus in one visit. OBP is a student-run organization at UT that offers daily, weekend, week, or semester-long bike rentals. OBP will supply you with a bike, helmet, lock, and a Landmarks Public Art Map.

OBP is located on the ground floor of the 27th Street Garage. Operating hours are limited.
