Landmarks is pleased to announce that Sarah Oppenheimer: C-010106 has been selected as a Design Award Finalist for the 16th Hiiibrand International Brand & Communication Design Awards.

Published by The University of Texas Press and edited by Andrée Bober, Landmarks’ founding director and curator, Sarah Oppenheimer: C-010106 highlights the artist’s 2022 public art commission for the Cockrell School of Engineering. Through striking color and black-and-white photography, scholarly texts, and conversations between the artist and UT faculty, the publication offers new ways to consider C-010106 and Oppenheimer’s unique exploration of perception, movement, and the built environment.

The Hiiibrand Awards celebrate excellence in brand building, communication design, and visual culture. This year, the competition received 1,733 entries from more than 40 countries and regions, with only 12% selected for recognition. The acknowledgment highlights the book’s achievement as both a record of a major public art commission and an example of thoughtful communication design. Like Oppenheimer’s installation, it invites readers to consider the spaces we move through and how they shape our understanding of the world around us.
