Appointment: Fall 2019, $12 hourly, avg.10-15 hours/week, flexible within M-F 9-5pm
Overall purpose of the position:
Landmarks is seeking an upper-level undergraduate or graduate-level intern to assist in its active education department. The intern will work directly with internationally-known artists and be responsible for executing educational projects from start to finish.
Essential functions:
Enhance student involvement by designing programming such as expanded volunteer opportunities, orientation outreach, campus-wide pop-up learning events, curriculum for Landmarks Video, and custom class tours
Assist in designing public programming to establish stronger community partnerships with Austin arts organizations
Find new themes in the collection and design new tours for public and UT class tours
Design new educational materials such as activity guides, audio guides, and downloadable self-guided tour routes
Assist with Landmarks Docent program
Collaborate with other units on campus on new programming to reach students outside of the arts
Other related functions as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Enrolled as UT student in the College of Fine Arts
250-300 word statement explaining how the internship will further your professional goals
250-300 word statement of financial need
Because this position is partially funded by the College of Fine Arts Intern Scholarship, students must demonstrate financial need with a written statement
