Songs in the Skyspace / Wellness Wednesdays / Sunset Reset

Songs in the Skyspace is Landmarks' monthly music series hosted inside James Turrell’s Skyspace, The Color Inside. The program represents a diverse mix of voices and instruments and offers a unique way to engage with Turrell’s elegant light sequence. 

Songs in the Skyspace runs monthly on select evenings during the sunset light sequence. Free reservations are required and can be made online. Free reservations to Songs in the Skyspace performances will now be released at noon CST, two days prior to each performance.

Songs in the Skyspace season lineup will be announced in September 2026.

Wellness Wednesdays

Sound healer Sonic Starchild (Jen Vu) returns to the Skyspace this fall for Wellness Wednesdays, a sound bath series hosted inside James Turrell's The Color Inside. On select Wednesday nights, Starchild will conduct sound bath mediations inside the Skyspace, with singing bowls, gongs and more. 

Free reservations are required and can be made online. Free reservations to Wellness Wednesday activations will now be released at noon CST, two days prior to each performance.

Wellness Wednesday activations will be announced in September 2026.

Sunset Reset

Sunset Reset provides free mental health breaks for graduate and undergraduate students across campus. Developed by Landmarks in partnership with Humanitas and the College of Liberal Arts, the series is hosted inside James Turrell's Skyspace, The Color Inside. Each month, students are invited to participate in stress-relieving activities and exercises, all set against the backdrop Turrell’s serene and contemplative light sequence. 

Sunset Reset runs monthly on select Tuesday evenings. Entry is come-and-go and reservations are not required. Free admission for undergraduate and graduate students with UT ID. The Skyspace is located on the rooftop of the Willliam C. Powers Student Activity Center (WCP). 

2026-27 Student Sunset Reset Sessions will be announced in September 2026.

Standby at Sunset

Landmarks can accommodate standbys on a first-come, first-served basis. Standby visitors are encouraged to arrive at the Skyspace thirty minutes before sunset to join the list. Once the light sequence begins, no-show reservations will be released and standby guests will be accommodated as space permits.
