Support Emergency Funding for UT Students

Supporting UT Students in Crisis

The coronavirus pandemic has had unprecedented impact on communities around the world, and The University of Texas at Austin is no different.

For our students' safety and in the interest of public health, the university has had to make dramatic changes to how we educate UT students. We asked them not to return to campus from spring break as we move all classes online for the remainder of the semester.

This has caused major disruptions in the lives of all of our students. Some need emergency support from UT to ensure they are fed, housed and able to participate in our new online learning model.

Your support is critical to our students' safety and academic success.

Every gift will be matched dollar for dollar until we reach $2 million.

A gift to this emergency fund helps provide:

  • Funds for students who have lost wages or jobs they depend on to pay for their education and support themselves or their families.

  • Computers and internet access for students who will not otherwise be able to complete their coursework.

  • Assistance with emergency moving and transportation expenses.

  • Immediate support for students facing housing challenges or food insecurity.

  • Resources for students who need emergency medical and mental health services.

All funds raised will be administered and distributed by the university’s Student Emergency Fund to ensure equity and support for the students in greatest need.
